Several people have commented on how unusual it is for an accounting firm to be nominated in the export category and have asked what exactly it is that we are exporting.
Well, I will explain … While many New Zealand companies (accounting firms included) have outsourced aspects of their work to countries where labour is cheaper – we are doing the exact opposite. Our New Zealand based team are exporting accounting services, knowledge and expertise to Australia using the latest in online technology. We feel good about our low carbon footprint as we run our business ‘remotely’ and achieve excellent low cost and high value service for our Australian customers.
We know we have worked hard to achieve something that looks easy and we also know that all the other finalists will feel the same. The awards presentation is in November and the whole Wise Advice team will be there to enjoy the occasion. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
